It’s been a while, but we just got a new update on the Storyliving by Disney community!

Have you ever gone to Disney World or Disneyland and thought to yourself how cool it would be to live there? Well, Storyliving by Disney offers a unique community experience that only Disney could create. The new Disney-inspired communities are springing up across the nation in various states, and have a new update on Asteria!
Over in North Carolina, a new Storyliving by Disney community is coming up called Asteria. This new community by Disney is designed as a campus of discovery. Asteria is built around “curiosity, connection, and exploration.” It will be a place where people can enjoy everyday living with a little bit of that Disney magic taking place.

Disney has said that this new community is about more than the places we create, and emphasized that it’s also about the connections that are built. This is reflected in the recent news that Storyliving by Disney joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina to celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary and the Pittsboro Club’s fifth anniversary.

As part of the celebration, Storyliving by Disney donated $30,000 to support the organization’s “academic success, wellbeing and workforce development programming by empowering young people with the tools, experiences and support they need to build bright futures and achieve their goals.”
Disney shared that the day was filled with family fun and special treats. Mickey Mouse even stopped by to say hi to the kiddos, which was adorable! You can see a video of it with the Instagram post above. Disney shared that Storyliving by Disney is “proud to support the people and organizations helping create bright futures throughout Pittsboro and Chatham County.” As well as that “this celebration was just the beginning of many meaningful connections still to come.”

While we didn’t get an update on new things coming the community, it’s cool to see Disney supporting organizations and giving back. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates, so make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more!
