Gameloft revealed the next wave of content coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley during a livestreamed D23 panel on Friday.

First Look at the Major Additions for Dreamlight Valley

Gameloft revealed the next wave of content coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley during a livestreamed D23 panel on Friday.

The announcements were made during the “Your Dream, Your Valley: Disney Dreamlight Valley” panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The panel featured a discussion between four members of the Dreamlight Valley team from Gameloft as they reviewed a brief history of the game’s content life so far. Toward the end of the panel, the team revealed several new items slated for the last few months of 2026.

Oogie Boogie and Lilo Coming Later This Year

Gameloft revealed the next wave of content coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley during a livestreamed D23 panel on Friday.

Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas will make his Disney Dreamlight Valley debut in September as part of a free update.

His arrival will be accompanied by a new Halloween event featuring weekly quests, spooky surprises, and rewards inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Oogie Boogie joins Jack Skellington and Sally, who are already residents of the Valley.

The September update follows the recent arrival of Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph. Ralph was featured in the original announcement trailer for Disney Dreamlight Valley in 2022 but remained conspicuously absent from the playable character lineup for more than four years.

Lilo from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch will arrive with another free update in December.

Stitch has lived in the Valley since December 2022, meaning the update will finally reunite the two title characters from the film nearly four years after Stitch was introduced. Gameloft previously teased several additions planned for 2026 without revealing the entire lineup.

Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire Coming to the Premium Shop

Gameloft revealed the next wave of content coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley during a livestreamed D23 panel on Friday.

A major wave of Disney Channel nostalgia is also coming to the game in just a matter of days.

A new Premium Shop collection inspired by Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire will launch next week, allowing players to dress their avatars in outfits inspired by the two series.

The collection marks a somewhat landmark addition for Dreamlight Valley. While the game frequently draws from Disney and Pixar animated films for characters, clothing, furniture, and Star Path rewards, live-action Disney Channel properties have been much less prominent. Fans of the two series can spot several recognizable new clothing items and furniture items inspired by these Disney Channel classics.

Jack Sparrow and ‘The Keepsake Sea’ Expansion Revealed

The panel ended with a first look at the next paid expansion for the game, Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Keepsake Sea. The brief teaser takes a dive into a new realm for the game: an underwater seascape, with what appears to be a player character transformed as a mermaid swimming through the environment.

The trailer closes with one last surprise: Jack Sparrow (and presumably more content from Pirates of the Caribbean) was teased to play a part in the upcoming expansion while also suggesting that undersea exploration could be a major component of the new setting.

Gameloft did not announce a release date during the panel.

As a final bonus, the Dreamlight Valley team also shared a new redeemable in-game code for a glow-in-the-dark D23 varsity jacket. The case-sensitive code is: DDVD23PANELGIFT

Players can redeem the code (so long as it remains active) and add the jacket to their closet via the settings tab on the pause menu, under the “Help” section.

Disney Dreamlight Valley

Gameloft revealed the next wave of content coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley during a livestreamed D23 panel on Friday.

Developed by Gameloft, Disney Dreamlight Valley is a life-simulation adventure game that places players in a customizable world populated by Disney and Pixar characters.

Players restore the Valley following a mysterious event known as the Forgetting, complete quests for its residents, unlock Disney-themed Realms, and build friendships with characters. The game also features farming, fishing, cooking, mining, crafting, clothing customization, and extensive interior and exterior decorating.

Disney Dreamlight Valley functionally released with an early access period in September 2022. Since then, Gameloft has maintained the base game through free character and story updates while also releasing larger optional paid expansions.

The first paid expansion, A Rift in Time, launched alongside the full game in December 2023. It transported players to Eternity Isle, added three new biomes, and introduced characters including EVE, Gaston, and Rapunzel. The expansion also added the Royal Hourglass and Ancient Machines, which can automate some activities around the game.

Gameloft later released the second expansion, The Storybook Vale, which introduced new characters and items inspired by Sleeping Beauty, Brave, and Hercules.

The third major expansion, Wishblossom Ranch, centers on restoring an Alpine-inspired ranch and introduced a game-changing movement mechanic: horses that players can befriend, customize, and ride.

The Keepsake Sea will continue that paid expansion model while Gameloft simultaneously adds Oogie Boogie, Lilo, and other content to the base game for free.
