Halloween Horror Nights 2026 at Universal Studios Hollywood has brought Hellraiser to life as a haunted house.

In this haunted house based on the original Hellraiser trilogy, enter a realm of pure pain where Pinhead and his tormented Cenobites derive their hellish pleasure.
Guests enter through a giant version of the Lament Configuration, walking through chains while Pinhead greets them saying, “We have such sights to show you.” In a decrepit hallway, more Cenobites swipe at guests from boo holes.
Guests continue into the Channard Institute, where Pinhead greets them on a TV then jumps out from his hiding spot. The flayed Frank Cotton appears a moment later.
Beds are filled with tortured patients under the Doctor’s “care.” He floats in through a window.
Cries of “Help me!” are heard as guests pass Browning and a skinned Julia reaches around him. Guests enter the Labyrinth, the realm of the Cenobites.
Pinhead, Chatterer, and Butterball attack as guests make their way through dangling bodies.
They pass an altar with three bodies covered by sheets and another appearance by the flayed Frank.
In the next room, a statue of Pinhead comes to life among a group of mutilated bodies on the floor.
The climactic set piece is the Cotton family’s attic, where Frank is being torn apart by hooks on chains.
Pinhead makes a final appearance, showing guests the puzzle box in his hand. The final scare is the Engineer Cenobite, swinging from the darkness at guests.

The Hellraiser house is in H-Lot North on the Upper Lot, at the back of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The haunted house is based on the first three films in the Hellraiser franchise, which itself is based on the novella The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker. Barker also wrote and directed the first film, released in 1987. Peter Atkins wrote the next two films, which were directed by Tony Randel and Anthony Hickox. Hellbound: Hellraiser II was released in 1988. Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth was released in 1992.
The first two films revolve around members of the Cotton family, who are attacked and killed by the Cenobites, extra-dimensional demonic beings released when a puzzle box known as the Lament Configuration is solved.
The most famous Cenobite is Pinhead, a.k.a. The Hell Priest, who is the main antagonist of the franchise and was originally played by Doug Bradley. Bradley returned to provide dialogue for this year’s house.
