Sanford police are asking for the public’s help finding an 11-year-old girl who was reported missing after she was last seen Thursday in Sanford.

Sumaiya Brown was last seen Sept. 24 in the 600 block of Old England Loop, according to the Sanford Police Department. Police said her means of travel is unknown.

Sumaiya is described as 4 feet 8 inches tall and about 90 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair.

Police said she was last seen wearing a lilac-colored shirt, white and green pants, and a white hat with writing on it.

Anyone with information about Sumaiya’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Sanford Police Department.

Police are continuing to search for Sumaiya and are asking the public to share the information to help locate her.
