The Play Disney Parks app, which offers interactive experiences at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, will permanently retire this week.

We learned one month ago that the app will no longer be available beginning on September 16. On that date, the app will be removed from app stores, and users will no longer be able to log in.

If you want to save any of your achievements, you can still access them before September 16.

After the app shuts down, Batuu Bounty Hunters will still be available to play with MagicBand+ and screens in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but the app component will no longer work.

The Star Wars: Datapad, which allows guests to interact with various elements in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge only in the Play Disney Parks app, will be retired.

Regarding DuckTales World Showcase Adventure, which is currently down for refurbishment, Disney said there is no information to share at this time.

The app also offers queue games and trivia, rewarding guests with digital achievements across Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. At Walt Disney World, guests could play the Disney Fab 50 Quest, checking off all the gold statues they interacted with.

MagicBand+ interactions, including with the Fab 50 statues, will still work.
