The Japan Pavilion in EPCOT has a new egg sandwich at EPCOT. Not only is it overpriced, but it is very bland and flavorless. It’s available at Katsura Grill.

Tamago Sando – $8.75

Japanese-Style Egg Sandwich: Fluffy egg salad tucked into a buttery brioche, finished with sweet-savory tonkatsu sauce.

Guests can either order the sandwich with egg only (which is what we did) or add panko fried shrimp ($12).

This was about as underwhelming as you can imagine. It tastes like bread and hard boiled egg. We could not taste the sauce that was supposed to be included. Apparently that only comes on the dish when you order it with the fried shrimp.

If you like shrimp, that would probably some more flavor and crunch, but we don’t think it’s worth the price increase. Actually, this isn’t worth the price at all. There are far better options in the World Showcase. Don’t waste your money on this.
