A person was shot on Friday night during a fight at a Circle K gas station in DeLand, and the shooter stayed at the scene, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

In a release, the VSO said deputies responded to the call around 6:45 p.m., which came from a station located at International Speedway Boulevard and Kepler Road.

The injured victim was taken to the hospital, and the shooter remained on scene, deputies added.

“A full investigation is underway, and more information will be posted as it becomes available,” the release reads.
