Solar-powered trash cans with a tiger logo have been installed in Maharajah Jungle Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, joining solar bins at the front of the park. Walt Disney World has been adding these trash cans since early June. Walt Disney Imagineering is involved in the design process so they will look similar to existing cans.

Maharajah Jungle Trek Solar-Powered Trash Cans

Two pairs of green solar trash cans and recycling bins are along the Maharajah Jungle Trek walkway. The solar panels power a built-in trash compactor. Guests can open the lids by hand or with a foot pedal — although, this has proven so confusing for some that Disney released an instructional video.

The logo on the side is a red triangle with a tiger in the center and clouds in the corners.
