Storm chances increase, especially near and north of I-4, with 50% to 70% chances closer to the I-4 corridor.

The strongest storms could bring frequent lightning, 40 to 50 mph wind gusts and torrential downpours, with localized flooding possible.

MID-LATE WEEK

More moisture means 50% to 70% storm chances each afternoon. Storms will develop near the coast before spreading inland, with the greatest coverage late afternoon and early evening.

WEEKEND

A typical late-summer pattern settles in, with scattered to numerous afternoon storms continuing. Storm coverage may favor the interior as a light onshore flow develops as highs remain near average in the low 90s.
