Storyliving by Disney Gives $30,000 to Boys & Girls Club
Disney presented the contribution at a celebration of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina’s 30th anniversary and the Pittsboro Club’s fifth anniversary.
The day began with remarks from the Mayor of Pittsboro and Board Chair of the Pittsboro Boys & Girls Club, Kyle Shipp, where Storyliving presented him with a Mickey Mouse statuette. The celebration also included a special surprise appearance by Mickey Mouse.
The contribution will support the organization’s academic success, wellbeing, and workforce development programming by empowering young people with the tools, experiences, and support they need to build bright futures and achieve their goals.
“It is very exciting to have Storyliving by Disney here supporting our organization. To know they are stepping in as a partner and being here for us on our 30th anniversary of our organization is amazing,” said Dr. Fallon Brewington, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina.
“Being part of a community means supporting the people and organizations that help make it special,” said Claire Bilby, SVP and GM of Storyliving by Disney. “As we look toward the future of Asteria in Pittsboro, we’re excited to build connections in the community and recognize and enhance the important work organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina has already been doing.”
This follows Disney’s announcement that their collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs in four regions will bring Disney Dreamers Academy to more students.
Asteria, the second Storyliving by Disney community, will feature a Peter Pan-inspired club and the rentable Lost Key Cottage. Check out concept art for the entrance.
