A 17-year-old boy was taken to a hospital in stable condition after being shot Friday afternoon on Liming Avenue, according to Orange County Sheriff deputies.

Deputies said they responded to a 911 call at about 3:30 p.m. Sept. 25 in the 5000 block of Liming Avenue.

When they arrived, deputies found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition.

Investigators said the case is in its early stages and no additional details were immediately available.

Deputies are continuing to investigate what led up to the shooting.
