As The Magic of Disney Animation has soft opened, characters are roaming out and about in Animation Courtyard to greet guests.

As we shared previously, now that the roaming characters we saw over the summer have moved inside The Magic of Disney Animation, other characters may take their place.
This morning, September 11, we ran into Jiminy Cricket at 9:30 a.m. In addition, The White Rabbit is also alternating with Jiminy today. It seems they each roam for about 30 minutes before switching.
Inside, Alice from Alice in Wonderland is at the Mary Blair-inspired Drawn to Wonderland playground enjoying a cup of tea with younger guests.
Disney has shared that guest feedback regarding roaming characters over the summer has been very positive, and the characters we have seen out and about this morning appear to be a direct response to that.
Over the summer, we saw Mulan, Stitch, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and more outside roaming around. They now have designated spots inside.
“Off the Page!” is a new meet-and-greet experience, and each space represents a different stage of the animation process.
Here is the list of characters guests will be able to meet:
- Mulan in Story
- Rapunzel in Layout
- Chip n’ Dale in Hand-Drawn Animation
- Donald and Daisy in CG Animation
- Goofy in Lighting
- Stitch in Effects
