NSYNC member Joey Fatone and his manager Joe Mulvihill visited their new Fat One’s Hot Dogs & Italian Ice location at Universal Orlando Resort ahead of its opening this weekend.
Fat One’s at CityWalk
Fat One’s has operated as a food truck in Orlando for several years but will now have a permanent location at Universal CityWalk Orlando. Since our construction update, a large Fat One’s sign has been installed above the restaurant.
Fatone and Mulvihill shared a video from Fat One’s, which replaces Hot Dog Hall of Fame, where they were trying out menu items.
As Mulvihill explains, he and Fatone attended high school “across the street” from Universal and it’s where both of them got their start. Fatone played “Wolfie” in Beetlejuice’s Rock and Roll Graveyard Revue at Universal Studios Florida, where he was recruited by Chris Kirkpatrick for NSYNC. Having Fat One’s at CityWalk brings his career full circle.
Universal Orlando Resort also shared a video of the pair at Fat One’s, which opens on Saturday, September 19.
Guests can arrive as early as 10 a.m. for the grand opening. The first 100 guests to arrive will receive a wristband for one free hot dog served by Fatone. The “hot dog cutting” ceremony will be at 11 a.m.
