We’re always grabbing dinner, watching movies, and eyeing Disney merch in Disney World’s shopping center, Disney Springs. But what if you could hang out at Disney Springs and donate to a great cause at the same time?
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and four Disney Springs restaurants are raising funds with a portion of their proceeds going to cancer charities. Plus, they have some limited-time specials to try!
Head to Maria and Enzo’s or Enzo’s Hideaway for a dinner that benefits the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation: The Paccheri is a house-made pasta topped with cauliflower ragu, lemon olive oil, crushed pink peppercorns, and pecorino romano for $29.
Wash it all down with the limited-time Pink Velvet cocktail, made with Banfi Rosa Regale, J.F. Hayden’s lychee liqueur, cranberry, lime juice, and soda for $19. For a lighter drink, grab HoneyDew for $19, a cocktail made from Absolut Citron, Midori, lemon juice, pineapple juice, cherry bitters, Fee Foam, and pineapple leaf.
To finish with dessert, head to Summer House on the Lake for the limited-time Pink on the River Cookie, a butter cookie filled with raspberry jam and topped with a pink oat crumble. $1 from every cookie sold is donated to The Pink Agenda in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Additionally, Maria and Enzo’s and Enzo’s Hideaway will donate specialty dessert proceeds to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. You can grab the Coppa di Maria, featuring vanilla, chocolate, and pistachio gelato, sweet Amarena cherries, and a house-made ginger snap cookie, until October 31st.
The Cookies for Kids’ Cancer donations continue at The Edison, where you can get a Dulce de leche cheesecake with house-made gelato topped with a ginger snap cookie.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on more ways you can give back at Disney World and eat yummy food in the process, so stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more!
